Special Work
I reported at the mill this 
morning 620 AM #1 Mill #3 room 
I run 12 looms in middle alley 
on #4 and #5 one of the 
number of my loom was 249.  
On the said looms I found five 
threads running out and many 
drop wires pulled out of place so 
they wouldn't stop the loom 
when a thread broke.  I also 
found a big part of the threads 
crossed between the leece rods and 
harness.  A plain loom weaver 
had run the said looms several 
weeks up to Saturday.  I showed 
the boss weaver how the threads 
had been crossed between leece 
rods and harness.  He says they 
should be leeced again.  I says 
I told both fixers and the 
secondhand about it and the 
secondhand said if he couldnt 
get someone to leece them he 
would leece them himself.  
The Boss Weaver skipped about in s
pots and looked over cloth 
the secondhand was very busy 
on different things but I did not

see him look over his cloth.  
Mr. Bagwell the Supt. was in the 
room twice and saw a new 
temple put on which has not 
proved to be any better than 
the old temples.  I saw the 
weaver having trouble with 
the selvage where the new temple 
was put on I ask the weaver how 
it run, he says not any better 
than the others.
The Assistant Supt passed 
through one time
8 windows were open on West
side all day there wasn't any 
open on eastside.
Work run very good, but there 
is still room for it to run better.  
I saw two weavers asleep Boss 
Weaver caught one and gave 
him a good talking.
I inclose a laundry slip which 
I received with my laundry which 
only weighed 1 ¾ pounds they have 
it on the slip 4 pounds 
miss Clark the fore Lady says 4 
pounds is right but I will knock 
some off on your next laundry.
